In the old model, only a bit of heat is needed before the rest can be done with a small standard tool. In front of the Switch Oly, Taylor Dixon has significantly more respect from ifixit.

He puts the console on a heat pad and uses a suction cup, which then works surprisingly well. The pro is pleased because the new model offers much more breakage. At the original switch, the display was behind relatively stable plastic, while the OLED model is glass.

More differences

In addition, further changes in the new model of the switch are also highlighted: inside the console, the hardware preach discovers other cooling hardware and a new board.

At first glance, it is also surprising that fans and heat sinks are significantly smaller than the old model - though the thinner display actually would have to be there. However, there is still the joint of the new and larger builders who has to do somewhere.

Furthermore, in the OLED model, in contrast to the old switch, a closed speaker system is installed. Open speakers, which emit not only into one, but in different directions, were loud the developer in the new design of the OLED too quietly, as Dixon explains.

Add to this the following differences:

Akcelerometer of TDK-Invensense instead of Stmicroelectronics LPDDR4 memory from Micron instead of Samsung Nand Flash from Samsung instead of Toshiba Samsung S2DOS04-Power Management Chip

What do you think of the new components?
