According to DFL resignation: Peter Peters wants DFB

Since the disposal of ex-President Fritz Keller, the nominal Vice Presidents Peter Peters and Dr. med. Rainer Koch interim the skill of the DFB. Contrary to official statements both are, of course, act as antipodes as a double top. Peters ambitions on the permanent basement succession have been known for quite some time, in conversation with the nominal Vice, the multifunctional that now expressly confirmed these on Monday afternoon: I have explained my readiness to the candidacy. And after numerous conversations I feel the appropriate trust Also in the ranks of the national associations.

This seemed not given after the latest meeting of the national associations a week in Hamburg first. As a spokesman of the meeting Schleswig-Holstein s Boss Uwe Döring and Dr. med. Hans-Dieter Drewitz known as the representative of the Southwest German Association: The 21 national associations agreed that the future DFB president come from the amateur sector . This closed the longtime Schalke professional-functional Peters actually.

Without network and double ground - Watzke as a wundriver

However, Peters himself has received by its own statement at least from a relevant number of national associations both before its session and then other signals. The trust of the profile camp, he should possess anyway. If he is also formally proposed within the period running until 11 February, there is probably a fight candidacy on the DFB Bundestag on March 11 in Frankfurt. Because that from the national associations a further applicant is set up, is distinctive. As a favorite, Bernd Neuendorf, president of the Association Mittelrhein.

That Peters now announced his farewell as a DFL supervisory board (the picture reported first), happens out of free pieces and comprehensibly in the context of the desired presidential candidacy: I go the matter without network and double ground, explains Peters, explains I do not find it right to hedge me on all sides. The DFL should have the opportunity to regulate my succession neatly and without time pressure. The corresponding new election should go over the stage as part of the League Assembly on December 14th. Peters pleads for BVB Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke as his successor.
